The Lock Asylum:
Produced and written by Cara Jennings and Sophie Trott, in collaboration with LSE department of economic history, and with support from Morley College, this audio drama is a glimpse into the world of an asylum for fallen women, based on real accounts of their lives recently discovered in the Lock’s admissions ledger from 1787.
Kitty and Peg:
Kitty Clive, star of the Drury Lane Theatre, at the height of her career in 1740, is forced to share a dressing room with promiscuous newcomer Peg Woffington, famous for her ‘pants roles’ (playing boys).
A very silly exploration of these real life performers, recorded in lockdown. Produced, written and performed by Cara Jennings and Sophie Trott.
